Practice Schedule for this Week

Hello Team!

Due to the forecast of very cold and snowy weather this week practice will be scheduled as follows:

Tuesday 10/27 5:30-6:45
Wednesday 10/28 5:30-7:00
Thursday 10/29 5:30-7:00

Please remember to dress the boys for the weather. This week will be good example of the weather we are likely to face throughout the playoffs and tournament games. It will be good for the boys to wear clothing that helps keep them warm but that they can also play comfortably in.
The boys have been provided with hand warmers and neck warmers in an attempt to help keep them warm. Please use them! Also they should double up on the socks, cold toes usually results in the rest of the body being cold too!
I have talked to many of you about buying tights.....yep, girls tights! The boys kinda throw a fit at first but tights really go a long way in keeping the body warm. They can be hidden beneath socks and pants and provide an extra layer on the feet! They really work well!
I have put a box of the little hand warmers in the coaches bag. If the boys activate one of those heat pouches and put it in the hand warmer they were given it really keeps that little pocket warm!
I will also do my best to keep hot chocolate available for the boys on the sideline!

For future games.......
In the event of snow, it is nice to have the shade awnings and tarps that can be put up for shelter. If anyone has these items that they would be willing to bring and set up please let me know. We would want one for the team to stand under and then of course we need to protect ourselves!! :) This is only if we end up playing in a storm, so far we have been very fortunate with the weather, but you never know!

We have had a phenomenal season! I'm so excited for the success of our team and hope we can play just as well throughout the playoffs! I just want to say again how much I appreciate all the parent support that we have on our team. I know the boys and the coaches really appreciate the crowded sidelines at each game. It makes all those nights of practicing worth every minute!
